2023 Spring Craft Fair
When: Saturday April 22nd | 11AM - 5PM 
Where: The Winery at the Long Shot Farm

We are excited to have our third spring craft Fair in the Vineyard with 30+ vendors, with homemade/hand crafted items. This year's event is 2 days.

Food Trucks: House of Smoke BBQ & Mad Dash Concessions

-The Winery is open 11-9pm

-Rain Date- April 29th 11-5pm

-Friendly Pets on leashes are allowed outside. Please clean up after them.

-Please stay out of the grape rows and do not pull on the wires. 

2023 Opening Day!
When: Saturday April 22nd | 10AM
Where: Donald M Taylor Memorial Park

Our traditional Opening Day celebration is set for Saturday April 22, 2023! Opening Day is always a special day for the community to celebrate the beginning of the baseball season and spring! Please come out and join us as all of our players, coaches, and board members will be recognized! We will have a few guest speakers present, music, great food, baseball games, and much more! Don’t miss our biggest event of the season!

Special Guests:

We will have several special guests joining us for the ceremony! PA State Senator John DiSanto, PA 104th District House of Representative Dave Madsen, Dauphin County Commissioner Mike Pries, Swatara Township Commissioner Shaela Ellis. Rascal from the Harrisburg Senators, Billy Fello from Masterful Mechanics Baseball. Landon Mak will be back to sing the National Anthem. DJ Tommy T will also be there to help us keep Taylor Park rocking throughout part of the day.

For the first time also in many years Robert Taylor (Donald R. Taylor's Brother) will be participating in the ceremony and will be a part of the first pitch, the park is dedicated to Donald R. Taylor.

Concession Stand/Food:

Come Hungry!

The PA Dairymen's Association will be onsite serving their famous Farm Show Milkshakes.

Schander's Concessions will also be onsite serving Chicken Tenders, French Fries, Funnel Cakes, & Lemonade for lunch.

Our Concession Stand will also be open all day.

Picture Day:

Picture Day will immediately follow the conclusion of our Opening Day Ceremony around 10:45am. Our pictures will be taken by Youth Sports.

Pictures will be taken in the field next to the basketball court. The T-Ball teams will get their pictures taken first then, Jr. Pony, Pony Coach Matt and Coach CJ, then Coach Rivera's Team, and Midgets. It will take each age group roughly 20 minutes to get their pictures done.

AAP's Annual Yard Sale, Plant Sale, and Food Sale
When: Sunday April 16th | 10 AM 
Where: 319 4th Street, Summerdale, PA

Please join us for AAP's annual yard sale, plant sale, and food sale. We have yard sale wares for everyone from household, to holiday, to pet, and so much more! We are bringing back our plant sale this year too! Also FOOD - we will have several types of soup for sale, baked goods for the 2 and 4 footed, hot dogs and sausages, and drinks.

We will continue to sell 50/50 raffle tickets and will draw the winners around noon.

This event is in conjunction with the Summerdale Annual Community Yard Sale and the North East Fire and Rescue chicken BBQ.

Make a morning of it - come visit us then take a walk around town to see what everyone else is offering.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Proceeds from this event will go towards our mission of helping animals in need! 
 

Sip and Paint
When: Sunday April 23rd | 4-7 PM

Where: Shermans Creek Inn 

We have a Sip and Paint expert who will take you through an afternoon of creativity and fun! She will have different projects ranging from $25 to $35 for you to choose from to paint and our wonderful staff will offer you your favorite food and beverage options including wines from the Castlerigg wine shop in Carlisle! Our featured food is Kick Ass Shrimp and our featured drink for the event will be the "Happy Gilmore". You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this event. 2023 Dills Celtic Festival
When: April 21st - 22nd | 10AM - 6:30 PM

Where: Dill's Tavern

Join us on April 21 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM & April 22 from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM for this 2 day event!

Join us for the sixth annual Dills Celtic Festival at the Historic Dills Tavern, 227 North Baltimore Street, Dillsburg, PA! The festival is sponsored by the Northern York Historical & Preservation Society (NYCHAPS). Proceeds from this event help support NYCHAPS historical and educational programs.

Celtic crafters, merchandise, music, food, and beverages

Celtic crafters, artisans, vendors of traditional Celtic foods and beverages, musicians, and more will be a part of the festival. This will be a celebratory event of the Celtic history and heritage of what is now Northern York County for the entire family! This is a family friendly event. Pets are not permitted except for service animals.

Tickets are available for purchase online and at the gate for each day for $15.00 and two-day tickets are available for $25.00. Online tickets will be available soon.

Ticket pre-sales end 48 hours before the event.

Over 275 years ago, Scots-Irish settlers like the Dill family ancestors established homes, farms and businesses in areas west of the Susquehanna River as part of the new American Dream. This is the epicenter of Matthew Dill’s American Dream, a 500 acre property purchased in 1742 that would see the gradual development of an entire thriving community! In the spirit of these early Scots-Irish dreamers, today we celebrate their Celtic heritage and culture.

Fourth Annual Lincoln Train Ride Commemoration
When: Saturday April 22nd | 12 - 5 PM 

Where: The Star Barn at Stone Gables Estate
 

Take a step back in history to April, 1865 as we commemorate 158 years since the Lincoln Funeral Train crossed Stone Gables Estate! Witness and participate in this one-of-a-kind living history event.

Visit the historic and iconic Star Barn built in 1877 for a self-guided tour.

Tri County BBQ Food Truck available for onsite lunch.

Spring Festival, Oops Sale & Egg Hunt

When: Saturday April 22nd | 10AM - 4PM

Where: Meadowbrooke Gourds, Inc.
 

Attention Festival Visitors! The Spring Festival & Egg Hunt will be rescheduled to its rain date, April 22 from 10am - 4pm.

We have made the difficult decision to postpone the Spring Festival due to the potential for rain and thunderstorms. We know that many of you have been eagerly anticipating this event, and we share your disappointment.

We will still be hosting our Annual Spring Oops Sale today and tomorrow, as well as next weekend during the Spring Festival. All other activities will be hosted on the farm on April 22nd.

If you registered for our Gourd Egg Hunt and cannot make the new date, please contact us at dorih@mbgourds.com or call 717-776-6029 to let us know. We will be offering refunds of your $5 donation if you cannot make the rain date. We will open up any available Egg Hunt slots on our website as we receive cancellations.

We understand that this news may be frustrating, but we ask for your patience and understanding as we try to keep our guests, staff, and vendors safe during this weekend.

Come spend the day with us at our Spring Festival on April 15th from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Our Annual Egg Hunt Spring Arts and Craft Show, Spring Oops Sale and Paint Your Own Birdhouse Class will also be held during our Spring Festival.

Food Trucks will also be here to help get rid of the hunger pains. Attending will be Upper Frankford Fire Company with their delicious Chicken BBQ, Sweet Patch, Redemption BBQ and Hall's Ice Cream. Make sure to come hungry!

A fun day for groups of family and friends to come together and think Spring!!!

Arts and Craft Vendors will be announced the week of 3/6 so make sure to check back
