Happy National Roof Over Your Head Day!

I was reading an article this morning and discovered that today is National Roof Over Your Head Day.

It's a real thing, and it was created as a way to remind us to be thankful for the things that we have, including a roof over our head. It's a great reminder, and one that I think has a lot of value and merit.

But what was more interesting in the article that I was reading, to me, was the percentage of income that renters versus homeowners are paying for the roof over their head. On an average home, a renter is paying over a quarter, over 25% of their income towards rent.

Whereas a homeowner, someone that owns their home, an average home price, is paying 15%. that's a huge difference.

Now, if you're renting, you might be thinking, "Yeah, that makes sense, but it costs a lot of money to buy a home." And that's just not the case.
